On 2006, finally my cousin has a restaurant business with her friends. That is her dream since a long time ago. I am really happy that she can reach her dream. Her family also gives a big support to her.
In first month, the restaurant seems to be successful because a lot of people go there include my family, my friends, my cousin’s friends just to try the food. That is a good start. But for second month, third month and so on it is going bad, the guests decrease in each month. My cousin gets stress about it because the output is higher than the income. The restaurant might be close if this situation always happens.
One day, I find on the internet the article about restaurant marketing. After I read it, hey that is good idea so I take a quick action print the article and give it to my cousin. I just think I hope this article can help her to solve her problem. The article said that if you want to have a successful restaurant business you must follow Restaurant Marketing Formula. The formula is F + R + M = Successful Restaurant Business.
F is stand for first-time guests. You must create an interesting promotion such as discount coupon, advertisements in newspaper and many more to get a lot of first-time guests to your restaurant. This is really important because without first-time guests your business can’t be bigger and bigger. Try to make your first-time guests satisfy with your food and service.
R is stand for repeat or returning guests. This returning guests is the potential customer because they dine to your restaurant regularly. You must take care of this guests and sometimes give them special discount.
M is stand for profit margin. This is the fundamental area because profit margin is fragile so you must manage it consistently and regularly.
For couple months after practice this formula, my cousin’s restaurant has a good progress. Well done!
